I had a great time last night at Studio Paradiso where they had two models, a DJ and a Frazetta theme.
Went to the Woodland Park Zoo with some of the talented students (and instructor) from DigiPen.
Always a great time at Gage, drawing for 9 hours straight. Next year I'll paint!
Occasionally I get to join in the fun with my students. The in-class assignment was to draw the model from 8 locations around the room. The second part of the assignment is to put the images together into a GIF animation.
DigiPen has an open life drawing session on Tuesdays from 6:30 - 9:30, video game industry people are invited to come join us for 3 hours of drawing. The first hour is typically costumed and shorter poses. The last 2 hours are nude, or whatever the group wants.
One of the in-class assignments from the Advanced Figure Drawing class I teach at DigiPen is to do eight 2 minute drawing from around the model, and creating an aditional 8 in between (tween) drawings as part of the homework and create an animated .gif. I ended up doing it too, minus the tween drawings.
