Hi, I’m David Longo, artist, Art Director, educator, and lifelong student of visual storytelling and design. I’ve spent over 20 years in the game industry helping bring visual worlds to life, from eerie corridors in F.E.A.R. to the chaotic charm of Gotham City Impostors and the stark beauty of Betrayer. I’ve worked with amazing teams at Monolith and ArenaNet, and I was also a co-founder of Blackpowder Game, a six-person indie studio made up of longtime collaborators and top-tier talent from Monolith.
From 2016 to 2025, I also taught full-time at DigiPen Institute of Technology, a college dedicated to preparing the next generation of artists and designers for careers in the entertainment industry. I designed and taught courses in figure drawing, visual development, and conceptual illustration, and mentored students as they developed their own creative voices.
Art and design have always been more than a profession, they’re how I explore ideas and draw inspiration from the world around me. Whether sketching, painting, or developing visual concepts to see where they lead, I’m driven by the process of creating, discovering, and learning.
